Strawberry Ted...

Hi there, Susan here with another card to show you.

I have made this card using a great sketch from Sketchy Colours, and because my digi image is holding a rather large juicy strawberry I did my colours and backing papers to match.

The backing papers are from Crafters Companion, cute companion - summer stories, this is a rather cute CD with fabulous backing papers. All the edges of the papers were distressed.

The ribbon is from my local market, as you all know we get all our ribbons and lace from here. The little butterflies I made using a punch and inks to colour. I glittered them to bring them to life!!!

The image is a digi from Pollycraft.... I used Pro-Markers to colour the image and inked the background before distressing the edges.

My flowers were a mixture as usual, the smaller ones from Wild Orchid Crafts and the larger pink and cream one I made myself using a five petal flower punch.

The sentiment I made myself on the computer, I inked the background and edges before distressing to match the backing papers.

The cute little silver strawberry just finished it off, this was from Bunny Zoes Crafts.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.

I love you kitty....

Hi, Susan here again, wishing you all a happy day today.

I have used a great sketch and colour scheme for this card from Truly Scrumptious, I love cream and pink together they are a gorgeous combination in my mind. haha!! And just right for a great girly card.

The backing papers are from Nitwits and some from our stash. I have distressed all the edges and glittered them, well you have to have glitter when its a girly card, don't you!!!!

The ribbon is from our local market.

This little girl with her kitty is from High Hopes, its one of our new aquisitions, we fell for her straight away!

I coloured her in with Pro-Markers and then inked the background, before distressing the edges and glittering them to match the backing papers.

I think I caught the glitter bug from Emma with this card. My flowers are a mixture of my own handmade one and some from Wild Orchid Crafts. I glittered all the edges, and also found some small crystal blossoms in our stash and added these in the spaces.

This is my handmade flower made from pink and cream card, I made it using a five petal punch, the centre is a clump of flower stamens. You can see the crystal blossoms clearer here.

The sentiment is made using the computer, the background was inked in pink, I mat and layered it on cream and pink, then I distressed the edges and glittered them to match the rest of the card.

Anyone for a swim!!

Hi it's Susan here, well I couldn't resist this frog, just had to make a card to show her off.

I have used a great sketch from Cute Card Thursday, love sketches!!!!!

My backing papers are a mixture, the flowery one is from a Papermania pack that we bought ages ago. The beautiful green and pink muted papers are from Daisy Doodles. These two particular papers are from the Summer Collection, what a beautiful selection of colours in the collection, you will love them, go over and see for yourself!!

All the edges of the papers were distressed, just because I like doing it and like the effect it has on the finished card!!

The ribbon and lace is from our local market.

Isn't she just the most adorable goddess of a frog!!!!

Her name is Beach Baby Jayme, and she is a free download, she was designed by Crissy Armstrong. I coloured her in with Pro-Markers, and slightly coloured in the edges of the background with inks. I distressed the edges to match the rest of the card.

The flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts, I slightly coloured the edges with inks before gluing them in place. The small blossom flowers I made myself.

My little geisha girl...

Hi, it's Susan again!!!

I couldn't resist making this card!

I love working from sketches, and this one looked so good with all those layers, it made me think Asian straight away, and then I found a challenge or two to go with it.

My backing papers were all from our stash. I used a ridged card for the main backing as I wanted some texture next to the shiny black and the silver mirri.

The ribbon is from our local market. I used a punch to make the silver strip.

This darling little image is one of many that 'Sliekje' gives away free on her blogsite, this little image is called Japans - meisje. She has the most beautiful collection of digi stamps each one is adorable.

I coloured it in using chalks, then inked the background slightly to age it.

The flowers are my own handmade flowers using a five petal punch, the centre brads we have had in our stash for ages they are silk covered.

The satin ribbon is from our local market.

Summertime and the living is easy....

Hi, it's Susan here.

I have worked this card from a great sketch from 'Delightful Sketches' it is such a nice one and lends itself perfectly to a garden theme. There is always such a lot of challenges to follow at this time of the year with a summer theme, and when the sun is shining it is nice to be able to design with the gorgeous colours that are ideal for garden themed cards.

The backing papers are from a CD rom by Crafter Companion called Cute Companions - Summer Stories, beautiful backing papers on this CD rom. All the edges were distressed.

Can you spot the little wooden 'ladybirds', these little insects are my favourite summer bugs! They brings lots of memories of when Emma and my other daughter Jeni used to go on ladybird hunts in the garden in the summer!

The digi image is from Daisy Doodles store, it is such a cute little image and is perfect for a beautiful summery card. The image is called 'Wheelbarrow'.

The images are really good and print off perfect, any size you wish to make them. They are well worth a visit.

I coloured it in with Pro-Markers, and then distressed the edges to match the main papers.

The large yellow flower is my own handmade flower, made from a flower punch and coloured with inks, shaped and finished with stamens, the other flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, which I coloured with inks.

The tag I made myself on the computer, I ink aged the background before distressing the edges.

I used raffia from Papermania this time instead of ribbon, simply because I thought raffia blended in more with a garden theme.
